Nicole just celebrated her birthday like 1week plus ago!! HAHA!
All thanks to Albert for booking his condo's function hall for our usage as Aloha are all fully booked! And of course to my girls and Y.K for helping me for decorations and preparations of the day! The event was pretty successful! Thank God. Nicole enjoyed it!
I ordered 15 helium balloons from Bugis partyware shop some time ago when Dear was admitted to Raffles. And I bought a few packs of banners, decorations, and balloons with good rates there too!
I took leave on the 22nd and 23rd.
On the 22nd, we brought her to Raffles to settle some payment issue and met mummy @ Toa Payoh for lunch. After which, we proceed to cut darling's hair and dear's hair. Then, we brought her to kiddy palace for toys searching. Bought a few educational ones and 2 karaoke DVDs. (She stopped us while passing by this section where they played the DVDs. She danced with the song too!) We went to the nursing room and then to popular, lastly back to mummy's house.
Rested for awhile for darling to have her dinner, we headed to take a look at City Square and had our dinner there. Nice place and we let darling play at the playground outside the mall before going home. *Horrible place to get a cab there, other than that its great*
On the 23rd, it was pretty tiring. I slept late the previous night (4am) to create notifications and to touch up on Nicole's photo album. The next morning, we sang Nicole a birthday song again and I sent my wishes and prayers for her to Him! After which, we went for a great breakfast at the coffeeshop, followed by a short while at the playground. We had great fun!
After that she had a rest at home while mummy came and bathe her. She had her porridge and she slept. While mummy took over her, I went out to collect the helium balloons (cause the delivery for 15 balloons was $30, I didn't want). It was so 'paiseh' cause I got to take train and bus with the balloons! Met Von @ ToaPayoh kiddy palace to replace darling's toys (its spoilt), collected developed photos of Nicole, bought a cake for Charmaine, bought our snacks to ease the hunger, then bus back to my place.
We reached my place and we did abit of loose preparations and relaxing. I bathed and when the rest of the girls reached, we cabbed down to Albert's place.
That was when the mess came. I forgot to check if the function hall was at lift level, so the caterer came alone and we got to help him carry all the things up the stairs! HAHA! So 'malu'...
During the party...
Nicole was like usual, being carried from one end to another end... HAHA! She enjoyed herselves with lots of aunties and uncles, sisters and brothers!
@ around 8pm, I started the 'item-picker' for darling. She was to choose the top first 3 items out of the 12, which determines her future. That was 1st, the book. 2nd, the ball. 3rd, the abacus. So my thinking would be: She will be one who will excel in studies and have a great loving for ball sports. And when she grow up, she'll be a banker or accountant!
After which we cut the cake!
Great time spent there and I totally love it! Hope she had a good time and hope all blessings and prayers will come through to her! **Ok, i gotta end here and carry on with my pile of work!**
